I must confess that this young specimen (cap with ~1.5 cm) didn't look like P. salicinus to me when I saw it. However, the micro characters are clear; Particularly, the clamp connections existing in the hyphae of pileipellis were observed directly from the section of the pilei without touching the slide; With a litle pressure on it, I could see many of such clamp connections. I wonder why the more developed specimens I have analysed with macro characters of this species don't show these clamp connections so clearly.
