Mount Tabor Park hosts the only dormant volcano within a major metropolitan area in the world. I happen to live at the base. Should it erupe (as did it's neighbor Mount St. Helens in 1980) a 600 mph pyroclastic flow of super-heated steam and ash should enable me to live onward as a mere cast of my current self, much like Pompeii's citizens.
