Original Herbarium Label: Cystoderma sp. Growing on decaying wood of Pseudotsuga menziesii. Spores 6-8(-9) x 3-3.5 µm, amyloid, but not very strong; spore size & shape unlike other Cystoderma spp. we have seen so far. No cheilocystidia seen. Annular zone almost like a flairing out ring (similar to Cystoderma fallax); below the ring stipe is sheathed with reddish-brown granules. Pileipellis granules are formed of yellow-brown, thick-walled cells in chains; cells 15-40 x 12-30 µm.
