Caps 2.75-5" wide, yellowish with yellow brown squamules, and an inrolled to incurved margin relatively smooth, but tacky in dry conditions. Lignicolus on an unknown substrate in a moist area. Caps broadly convex to plane with a slight central depression. Flesh solid, white but yellow under the pilipellis. Taste mild, odor fragrant. Gills white to light yellowish white with many tiers of lamellulae, narrow, crowded, deccurent. Gill edges smooth to serrulate or torn. Stipe 1.75" at apex x 1.5-3.0" long, central to slightly eccentric, narrowing towards the base, white, solid, fleshy fibrous with innate scales on lower portion, turgid as is the pileal context. Did not completely cut the stipe flush with the substrate, and there was no partial veil present when picked. Spore print white. Spores hyaline and inamyloid. Have some for my scope but My scope needs to be cleaned for a more accurate reading. Spore measurements thus far match this species, but I don't like the photos from my old camera. Spores at 1000x ~1mu.
