Fruiting in grass under mature Oak in suburban residential neighborhood. Dry cap with distinctive "pointy" umbo at maturity; very tough, flexible stem; clear substance exuded when gills are cut; pale yellow spore print. I observed this gregarious fruiting over a two-day period and noted that young specimens are initially bright orange, fade to a more yellow-orange, and finally dry to a dusky, soft orange.
