PLUTEUS LEONINUS (SCHAEFF.) P. KUMM. PLUTEACEAE, AGARICALES. (ÐÐЮТÐ*Ð ÐЬÐ'ÐÐÐ-Ð-Ð*ÐТЫÐ). Cap: 4-8cm, bright lemon-yellow up to orange-yellow, smooth, gentle cone up to broadly convex, some sticky in wet weather, sometimes with indistinct knob or darker spot in the centre. Flesh is white. Gills: free, moderately broad, close, and whitish up to lemon-white near a cap margin, pinkish when old. Stalk: 5-10cm long, 0.8-1.5cm thick and enlarged toward base, yellowish-white up to dull yellowish-brown; indistinct fibrous. Habitat: rare kind, single mushroom or small group at the old partially rotten deciduous stumps or trunks (mainly rotten birch wood) in mixed forest. Edibility: edible after boiling. June-August (?).
