Original observation #213569 (Mushroom Observer)
Found in mixed hard woods but right next to a mature Oak. Kansas City Missouri area. Cut flesh bruises red quickly on second day, at home, not on the first day when fresh as seen in the photos. Pores bruising brown some time later. Blackish scabers on the stipe. KOH yellow on context. no flavor. This has a weird, distinctive, non mushroomy smell that I am familiar with, Tylopilus felleus.
