White Fruit body a small cup containing tiny "eggs." Cup 5-15mm high, flared at the apex, outer surface scurfy; gray-brown to ochre; inner surface whitish, with a layer of mucilage in which the eggs (peridioles) lie. Eggs 1.5-2mm across; light brown; attached to the walls by a fine cord. Spores ellipsoid, 8- 10 x 4-6ยต. Habitat in groups on old berry canes, rotten wood, or rich soil.
