Courtney and Pat MUOB 227533
Verbatim Date: 2016-1-9
United States, California, Boulder Creek
These were on the bottom of a rotting log, in Redwood, Live Oak mixed forest, near the edge of the trail. They were on the underside of the log (Xylaria hypoxalon also on the log). They forcibly released their spores (tried, but failed to get a video). Very tiny, about 1mm in diameter, white. Very cool!!
