A gregarious fruiting in poor rocky soil at the edge of a suburban sidewalk. These tiny fruit bodies range in size from 1.5 - 2.0 cm. wide and 1.0 - 1.5 cm. high and are without any sterile base. The young fruit bodies are covered with a white, finely granular surface which seems to dissolve away revealing a smooth yellow covering that darkens to brown in maturity. The interior is yellow initially, then develops/deteriorates into an olive-yellow color and finally into a wet, olive-brown spore mass.
