Typical form found in oak-dominated woods. These were growing on the side of a road near oak and other hardwoods. Bluing on pores. Slight dark blue seen on cap context may just be due to residue from pores on knife blade. Blue bruising on stipe of young specimen (not on older ones). Context in older ones yellow, paler in cap but not white. Context in young one more vividly yellow throughout. Insect tunnels red. No odor detected (I checked). Ammonia reactions negative to weak, most notable on pores (pale brownish). KOH reactions: amber on cap; pale orange on cap context, vivid rusty orange on pores, dark red on stipe surface, muddy orange on stipe context.
