Slime found on well-decayed wood. Lincoff book, (page 847 and photo 562) shows this species in two different stages of its life cycle with widely different looks. This observation is not what he calls the most conspicuous stage (photo 561). Ruled out Metatrichia vesparium as a possibility, as I could not see any "empty goblets". Unable to make any measurement, however one photo does show a penny in the photo to note minute size. Not the best of photos, but the best this photographer and camera could do. Any comment or suggestions welcomed on this.
