Inocybe sororia Kauffman Cap: 3-6 cm wide, oval or conical, then bell-shaped or convex with a knob up to almost flat with sharp knob; dull yellow minor lemon-yellow and knob is darker and brownish-yellow; margin upturning or radial split when old; surface fibrous and radial lined with tiny cracks. Gills: attached with notched edge (pinching out end), whitish or light cream or some pinkish up to reddish-brown when old, close and narrow up to moderately broad with short and very short additional gills, often with reddish-brown tiny spots. Stalk: 5-9 cm long, 0.5-1.2cm thick, slightly enlarged down, whitish and fine silky up to brownish-white then reddish-brown or brown when old, fibrous and hollow. Edibility: poisonous. Habitat: single or scattered small groups in pine-tree forest with some birches Season: July-August
