In White Pine, Hemlock woods. Caps 11/2-21/4 " wide with an incurved even margin. Cuticle peels in small sections from a small strip to about 1/2x1/2" strips. Caps convex with a slight depression, and may have been tacky because debris is attached to them. Flesh15/16 " thick, white becoming light yellow brown. Taste mild, but the odor was rancid. Stipe 15/8- 13/4 "long x 1/2- 3/4" at apex, slightly enlarged towards the base and has white flesh becoming light yellowish brown. Gills crowded to close yellowish white, bruising light tan. No spores obtained.
