Agaricus silvaticus Schaeff., Agaricaceae, Agaricales. (Bleeding Agaricus = Шампиньон лесной) Cap: 5-12 cm semi-spherical or bell-shaped, then convex, broadly convex up to almost flattened; smooth and pale reddish-brown when young then pinkish-white with purplish-brown scales, then chocolate-white, light brown or dull pinkish-brown and indistinct concentric scaly when old; young cap bottom is covered with veil, later cap margin sometimes has hanging veil remnants. Young flesh is white with bright red bruising, old flesh pinkish-white weak purplish bruising. Gills: free, very close, moderately broad then broad when old; color from pinkish-white, then light pink, brownish-pink up to purplish-brown when old. Veil: partial veil white outside and pink inside (upper side), then leaving flaring up to pendant ring. Stalk: 7-15cm long, white, sometimes pinkish-white, bruising bright red; 1.5-3cm thick, slightly enlarging down, rarely with indistinct basal bulb; old basal part has yellow cutting, middle of stalk often hollow with edging. Edibility: good after boiling or preliminary dried. Habitat: common kind, rare small groups scattered in pine-tree forest with rare deciduous trees. Season: July - September.
