Cortinarius trivialis J.E. Lange, Cortinariaceae, Agaricales. Local name: Паутинник обыкновенный Cap: 4-10cm wide when adult, convex with a knob, then broadly convex with indistinct or blunted knob, up to almost flat and also with a knob, dull orange-brown or dull yellowish-brown (when very dry), margins curved in; smooth or glossy when dry or some slimy in wet weather. Flesh is whitish or pinkish-white when young up to yellowish or brownish when old. Gills: attached and pinching out toward stalk, close to almost distant; moderately broad or broad with short intermediate gills, color from light lilac to dull pinkish-brownish-yellow up to red-brown. Veil: partial veil hairy and whitish when young. Stalk: 8-15cm long often with several irregular rims of hairy scales, sometimes indistinct, 1-2cm thick, brownish-white then pale yellowish-brown up to orange-brown; hollow with aging. Edibility: no reliable data. Habitat: scattered small groups in pine-tree forest with some aspen and birches. July - August.
