A few fruiting in grass under a mature oak on residential property. Mature cap: 7 cm; 3 pores/mm. Pore surface bruising light brown. Tubes: 4 mm. deep. Flesh at cap center: 1.4 cm. Stipe: 9 cm. X 2.5 cm. at base and 1.7 cm. at apex. Flesh in stem and cap did not bruise when sliced; however flesh in stipe has a faintly pinkish/violet tinge inherently, whereas the flesh in the cap is a persile white. Additionally the flesh in the stipe darkens to a dingy shade of white after a few minutes of exposure to air while cap flesh remains pristine. Odor is "mushroomy." KOH negative on cap, flesh and pores but faintly pink on exterior surface of stipe. Stipe also reacts faintly yellow with ammonia. Unable to obtain any spore print.
