Within a triangle formed by 3 Doug Fir near a trash pile of construction wood, OSB. Discriminated from C. rachodes by single ring edge, abruptly bulbous base; C. olivieri by stem to cap diameter ratio. C. olivieri 1.5; this mushroom less than 1.2: 16:14 cm (fully opened), 13:11 cm (nearly fully opened). - two specimens. Other features - "shaggy" cap, reddening stem when buised on the outside or cut. White spore print, white gills, free gills. Inconsistency, I cannot identify a ridge at the top of the bulbous base. Five of these, roughly equal in size, were growing as a cluster within a two foot circle.
