The typical form in dry Cladonia parts of our Scots pine forest. They can get huge sometimes (15 cm tall maybe, and quite massive) and are often streaky-hygrophanous on the pale side, and not very striate. It's quite different from the very slender, dark, striate-capped form occuring in treed peatbogs, although they have similar spores.
