I am not sure what to make of this critter. I’ve been watching white aethelia emerge and mature on a certain hardwood log for several weeks (several years on the ground). Compared with the “standard” bright-yellow-plasmodium-turning-salmon Fuligo septica that is common and consistent throughout my oak-hickory woods, this one looks quite different.
