Spores (4-6 x 3-4) are smaller than reported for A. clavipes, but the shape and the presence of a single oil drop match what is reported for this species. Otherwise, the macro-traits of these mushrooms match A. clavipes. Occurrence of this autumn species in May is not something I have seen before.
