I have seen this species in every forested setting I have visited during the past 3 weeks. Sometimes directly on wood, on woody debris (wood chips in this observation), and sometimes on the ground from woody debris in the soil. Spore morphology consistent across all my observations, with lengths varying only slightly from one collection to another. Stature varies from slight/slender to fairly robust. Annulus may or may not be present. Cap strongly hygrophanous, tan/light-brown fading to nearly white. The ones seen here found during dry weather.
