Half a dozen fruiting on fallen birch branch. Reminds me somewhat of Trametes betulina except these specimens have a gray non-fertile surface that darkens to charcoal gray then black with a brown rim; and the gills are wavy/curly with a unique looking (to me anyway) forked habit at the rim. Maybe another species of Trametes?
