Found along a rural roadside in grass underneath Eastern White Pine and Forsythia. Oaks across the road are probably within root reach. Cuticle peels halfway to the center. Cap margin weakly striate. Flesh bruises dirty brown. Odor of shrimp. Taste mild. FeSO4 green on stipe. Spore color on the yellow end of the cream range. Spores subglobose, 7-9 x 6-8 microns. Ornamentation a populous coat of spiky projections nearly 1 micron in length.
