Under live oaks. Finding this species (Boletus luridellus) in alot of places. Cap color variation is interesting. The caps can be dark brown to a light washed out tan color depending on conditions. The netting on the stem is a pretty consistent trait. Sometimes only at the upper inch or less, other times covering the entire stem. I haven't found any that lack reticulation entirely.
