Found fruiting on decaying log at an elevation of 8,500' - an area of mixed conifers. Kuo describes this species: Gills attached, beginning to run down the stalk with cross-veins, grows in troops on well-decayed conifer wood, cap orangish-brown to reddish-brown and can have a shallow depression and a darker center, common in Western United States.
