Ecoregion: Southern Outer Piedmont Habitat: Growing in leaf litter Nearest_Tree: Oak and conifer (Pinus taeda; Loblolly pine) Habit: Few Cap/upper_surface: Up to 8-9 cm diameter; almost flat; dry; pale brown in the center fading to darker yellow-brown at the margins Cap/underside: Gills attached; close; slightly ragged margins; pale with rusty patches. Stipe: Up to 10 cm long and up to 1 cm diameter; approximately equal along length; thick ring.
