Original observation #301552 (Mushroom Observer)
Found on prairie that had been burned in 2014. Pileus color: cap center tawny to light orange-brown fading to light buff, almost yellow towards the margin. Grouped, mixed ages present on burned tufts of Deschampsia. White spores, 2.5-4.5 cm tall, stipe 2-4 cim, pileus 0.5-1.3 cm, hight cap 0.1-1cm, stipe at apex=1mm at base 3mm, odor mild. COLOR cap center tawny to light orange-brown fading to light buff, almost yellow towards the margin. Margins striate. Flesh thin and fragile same color as cap. Gills very light cream to yellow. Gill edge darker, stem surface cream/light tawny at apex, darkening to tawny yellow at base. Stem flesh same as surface. CAP no lates, dry, smooth, convex, margins straight, contours striate, flesh brittle. STEM equal, dry, glabrous, smooth. GILLS adnate, entire. VEIL: none grass tussock, burned.
