Found by someone else on a group hunt. Potential ECM hosts noticed in the area were Quercus spp., Pinus strobus, Tsuga canadensis, Fagus grandifolia, Carpinus caroliniana and Betula alleghaniensis. Odor not distinctive. Taste slowly acrid. Latex watery to white and drying white. Gills discoloring brown. Cap margin cottony and inrolled when young. Spores amyloid and with warts not forming a reticulum.
