Found these growing along a little walking trail..They all appeared to be growing out of the soil but the area was littered with wood chips and other decomposing woody debris..The caps have scales and the stems are fiberous, if that makes any sense..Found growing between a Maple and some variety of Pine (just not sure which), there was a yellow popular nearby as well!!
