Found these specimens fruiting in ground in several places, mixed hardwoods and conifer forest. Dry conditions. Representative cap: 5 cm., prominent umbo, dry, cracked. Gills white/cream initially then aging with purplish edges. Stipe: 5.5 cm. X 4 mm. at apex and 1.2 cm. at enlarged base (other specimens essentially equal), twisted in some (possibly due to dry conditions). White mycelium at base. Could not get spore print. KOH brownish-orange on cap. Last two images show youngest specimens.
