Half a dozen fruiting in woodchip mulch bed on residential property. Largest, most mature cap: 6 cm. with prominent rusty brown pyramidal scales. Margin hairy and inrolled in younger specimens and covered with a rusty brown fibrous partial veil at first. As cap expands in maturity the pointed scales remain but are concentrated in the center. Stipe: 3.5 cm. X 1 cm., narrowing toward base. Whitish at apex when immature and covered with rusty brown scales and hairs below. KOH negative on cap. Spore print pending.
