Original observation #331491 (Mushroom Observer)
Occurrence Remarks:
Found in soil in a hardwood area with mature trees: oak, hickory and maple. Cap 9 cm., stalk about 5 cm. with a enlarged base. Gills attached which darkened with age. Spore color: brown. Some gills appear to be serrated, not sure if that is a characteristic or age. Some hanging remnants.
