Description: Original observation #334628 (Mushroom Observer)
Occurrence Remarks: Under hemlock, hickory, sweet birch, and oak. Fruit bodies 1-3" tall, glossy, dry, hollow and brittle. No hairs, no real bumps on stipe. Spores are aseptate, hyaline, variable size, mostly straight but some curved (32.2) 32.3 - 44.4 (46) Ã- (4.6) 5 - 6.25 (6.3) µm Q = (5.1) 5.7 - 7.4 (9.6) ; N = 9 Me = 37 Ã- 5.5 µm ; Qe = 6.5 Asci are amyloid, bitunicate, inoperculate (but not sure, its hard to tell) (110.7) 115.5 - 139.4 (149.3) Ã- (8.9) 11 - 12.2 (12.7) µm Q = (10) 10.5 - 12.1 (16.7) ; N = 7 Me = 129.5 Ã- 11.2 µm ; Qe = 11.7 Paraphyses about the same length as asci, with a slightly swollen tip, curved at the end, aseptate.
