Fruiting abundantly from the roots of Acer macrophyllum(big leaf maple). Usually fruiting this size are fresh and occurring early in September but taper off by months end. This season they have just begun on the last week or so(also abundant on the Olympia peninsula a few days ago near Twanoh State Park). Unusually warm this year with temps ranging in the low 70's each day.
