Original observation #340530 (Mushroom Observer)
Growing in mixed woods. Caps up to 6.2 cm across and dry. Did not see any obvious color changes with bruising of pores or flesh. Spore print was sparse but appeared olive brown. Spores ~ 9.6-12.2(13.0) X 4.0-5.1 microns, fusoid to subfusoid and smooth. Taste was mild and odor not distinctive. These keyed out in BENA roughly to Xerocomus hypoxanthus but I have no experience with this species(?).
