Original observation #368140 (Mushroom Observer)
Notes:
Growing under oaks and tupelo in swampy bottom. Mature fruiting body sports a corrugated cap, younger ones are umbonate and bright red. Flavor is mild to slightly acrid. Latex is clearish and scant. Spores are amyloid, reticulate, and globose.
