Apothecia erumpent, gregarious, when young covered with semitranslucent lid, sessile, 0.4-0.6 mm in diam., beige, with marginal hairs. Excipulum, +/- thick-walled t. globulosa, 6-10 um in diam., external part covered densely with small crystals. Hairs cylindrical or very slightly narrowing apically, 40-80 x 3-4 um, beige, rough-walled, but not clearly warted, septate, with apical crystals (the shape like tension-spring). Asci juvenile, ca 63 x 5.5 um. Apex amyloid = blue in Melzer with KOH pretreatment. No free ascospores seen, Paraphyses lanceolate, exceeding the asci, septate (usually 2 septa in basal part), ca 4 um wide.
