Domiant trees: Fagus grandifolia, Betula alleghaniensis, Tsuga canadensis, Abies balsamea, Acer rubrum, Fraxinus americana, Picea rubens; scattered Acer pennsylvanicum. Host: Acer rubrum. On bark a base and up along trunk; trunk greater than 100 cm DBH.
