Cap: Large convex cap, 7-21 cm in diameter. Nearly flat when fully matured. Prominent powdery layer that later collects into small warts or patches. White to off white. Annulus prominent. Gills: Both short and long gills. Short gills are attenuate. Free hanging. Off white, creamish color to white color, not necessarily the same as pileus or stipe. Stem: 7-20 cm in length. Upwards of 3 cm thick. Similarly, white as pileus, also containing powdery coating that disappears with age. Basal bulb not prominent and universal veil indistinct.
