gregarious, Cap: Sample pileus diameters ranged from 1 cm – 5 cm, which is in agreement with external sources. Shape is broadly conical, slowly becoming broadly bell-shaped with age while still retaining a central bump. Color also fades to dingy white with extensive exposure to sunlight. Hymenium: Gilled mushroom; narrowly attached to stem. Color tends to be whitish to pale gray, and occasionally yellow or pink with age. Tends not to bruise and change color. Stem: Sample stipe length ranged from 6 cm – 9 cm, equal in width throughout and hollow. Breaks crisply, with no liquid or latex oozing out after flesh damage. Base of stem has tiny fibers and flakes. Color is whitish at the top and progressively becomes more yellow in the middle, to finally brown at the bottom. Flesh: Stem flesh brittle, pileus flesh insubstantial; overall pale.
