growing in clusters, pileus: 3-9 cm wide; convex with inrolled margins; becomes somewhat flat but with slight depression at center with age; has a whitish sheen, may sometimes be discolored slight pale-pink to brown. lamellae: broadly attached to stipe; slightly decurrent; crowded; short gills common. stipe: 2-8 cm long; < 2 cm thick; equal throughout with satin sheen, may be brownish and watery when bruised; basal mycelium white. flesh: whitish; not changing color when bruised or sliced; fairly brittle spores: very small; ellipsoid; inamyloid; clamp connections present; spore print white to pinkish-white
